Peak8 GK is searching for a Head of Marketing who will develop and implement consumer marketing strategies for the
newly formed retail electricity supplier. This role will be provided with a foundational brand identity to build from, centered
around clean and simple energy, and will be responsible for establishing and operating the company’s digital and
traditional multichannel marketing operations.
The right candidate will have demonstrated success in designing and running integrated marketing campaigns for lead
generation and customer acquisition. This person will be results oriented. They will design, run, test, and optimize
campaigns against pre-established goals. They are technically savvy, with strong familiarity with marketing tech stacks
and automation tools. A successful candidate also has a track record for developing and managing cross-functional
teams, both internally and with external partners. Experience in the energy industry is not a prerequisite. Peak8 is looking
for expertise in mass consumer marketing to apply best practices and challenge the tactics in the retail energy industry.
● Marketing Strategy: Develop integrated marketing strategy to drive brand awareness, generate leads, acquire
customers, and support direct sales channels.
● Digital Lead Generation & Customer Acquisition: Design and implement digital marketing strategy to achieve
lead generation and customer acquisition goals using a variety of methods (e.g. paid search, paid display, organic
search, social media, etc)
● Traditional Marketing: Evaluate and utilize traditional marketing channels when appropriate to achieve customer
acquisition and lead generation goals.
● Marketing Technology Management: Select, implement, and own appropriate tools to support marketing
campaigns and customer lifecycle management.
● Cross-Channel Support: Collaborate with direct sales teams to support hyper-local campaigns.
● Web Content: Define and own the user experience; dictate copy and content creation; coordinate with web
developers to ensure the site is optimized for digital marketing strategy.
● Agency Relationship: Evaluate, select, and manage agency partners.
● Customer Lifecycle Management: Design customer experience across all stages of lifecycle to achieve
conversion and retention goals.
● Reputation Management: Deploy strategies to cultivate a positive brand reputation.
● Brand Ownership: Responsible for owning, shaping, and evolving the company’s brand identity to ensure
compatibility with target market and the company’s values.
● Creative Direction: Direct the development of creative assets.
● Market Segmentation & Analysis: Understand and model the target market as a key input to marketing
campaigns; survey and research as appropriate.
● Budget Ownership: Develop detailed marketing budgets and maintain accountability for performance.
